24 Hours of Chamberlin Ranch

Lets just say there were a few obsticles on the course. Mostly cattle thats probaly why it's called the Ted Chamberlin cattle ranch. At first i was a little nervous. These animals are big. Trying to get them to move was fun . I'd ring my bell and the beast's would just turn and moo. Finally i started playing cowboy and hearding them with my scalpel. Heayauuu and cows would scatter kinda funny i almost felt bad for emotionally scaring the beast but there is a motorcross track on the land so they must be used to it i asume. The tarantula's were all over the singletrack as well as field mice and a few deer.
As for the race I got 2nd in my age group. Overall i'm not sure i'll find that out in they post the results on ridesb.com. I know i could have done better. i wussed out on my night laps. It was so cold.low 30's I got in my car and acted like a little bee eye tie see eightch. when morning came i did two more laps to move from 3rd to 2nd but i still felt like i didn't give my all.
It's a learning experiance for sure and i will make another attempt next year.
I did have fun but maybe a little to much fun and not enough suffering.

2 weeks til 24 hours of Chamberlin Ranch

Sorry for the long gap in posts.I've been tring to prepare for my 1st 24-hour.This is going to be an experiance that i'll never forget. I'm stocked up on Hammer nutrition. Ive been training with there products exclusively for about 3 months now and let me til ya the stuff works. If you want to go hard for along period of time with no cramps, E-caps, heed, and Perpetuem are the answer.
So i have my supplements and hydration takin care of now i'm tring to figure out what solid foods i'll be consuming. Banannas, Hammerbars are for sure gonna be used but what else i think i'm gonna just make a couple of sandwiches, have some oatmeal.
i'm still not sure. I've bout about 20 new bottles since i'm going to have to
pre-mix most of my drinks. i don't really have i pit crew. My team-mates are doing a 4-man team so hopefully they be able to hand stuff off to me when there not out on laps(but they'll probally be drunk. It is firestone and double barrel ale's are yummie :)
Todays ride was from Berdoo to CraftonHills college over to millcreek Forest station, down the single track(North of 38 in the wash)Fun,Fun Fun,and back to Berdoo via Greenspot Rd. 42-miles 3hrs.I have pics but i'm at work right now(working hard) and I don't like to download here if at all possible.Maybe i'll post all pics from the week at the end of the week if i'm not feelin lazy. late
