5-10-09

I had planned on riding to Seven Oaks or even up Radford Rd. but the 20-mile warm up to the dirt from my house out greenspot to hwy 38 and the fun ride i had yesturday put a hurt on me. not riding since last sunday didn't help me either. So yesturdays ride turned into a fire road 60-miler with 5-1/2 hours in the saddle. Rode up Loc Leven, ran into Trevor who was coming down as i was climbing up said hi and kept going.

Once in A.O. i continues on the fire road to Thomas Hunting Grounds. The single track through T.H.G. is way over grown large unfriendly brush that stabs ya in the neck and upper arms as you ride through so beware. Beutiful day none the less. Still getting used to 29er and being on a hardtale again. it climbs great just need to get comfortable on the downhills.

Once past Thomas Hunting Ground right before you get to the Morton Pk. turn off, you can see the water behind the damm. looks pretty deep. i've never riden down there before. From the looks of the map you can take the fire road to 1n09. gonna have to check it out ;-)
