No hotel for Nationals

I guess thats what i get for not planning ahead. There are no rooms avalible for this weekends national at the firestone vinyard in Buelton Ca.. Looks like i'll be pitchin a tent. No big deal except that my race doesn't start til 2:30 in the afternoon I'll deal with it or look for a room toward Santa Barbra.I realy don't want to drive up the day of the race.
O'yeh I got married last week and haven't told anyone yet.It was a quick ceramony at the little white chappel in Las Vegas. It was my wife's 1st time there (i love saying "my wife") and she had a blast. So did I. I might have Drunk a little to much two weeks before a national but its all good. My legs are feeling a little better after a couple of rides this week. We'll see.
I'll have some pics up of the wedding and Vegas as soon as i get a chance.:-]

7 hours in the dirt

It's been while since my last post but I have been out pedaling just didn't really want to talk about the Bonelli race. It was a long 27-mile, two and a half hours placing 19th out of 21 riders. I've never had a good day on that course. I had to cancel my plans for the Julian7500 race this weekend do to me not paying attention to my budget. I'm over it now and thinkin about the next one.
Yesturday's ride was a mini epic in my local San Bernardino Mountains.Starting in East Highlands I headed up 1n21 to 1n09.Once I got to the 1n09,1n16 junction it was all new to me and it was the last time I saw bicycle track til Seven Oaks. Some breath taking views, a few water crossings, and alot of climbing. Didn't see to many critters out there. A couple of coyotes and some tracks of some kind of cat. Probaly a bobcat but good size. I should have put my glove on the ground for perspective.35-miles later I reach Seven Oaks in 4hrs20mins. Then climbed middle control to the store in Angelus Oaks. I was going to do the Santa Ana River Trail (2e03) down but decided to do Loc Leven insted so I could get home to some food. Loc Leven was fast! Super sweet, I'm going to have to start doing this trail alot more. From there I headed down the highway and hopped on the single track in the Mentone wash. This single track is always fun. Lots of rocks but still super fast. The flowers are all blomming so it's very colorful right now. That'll change in about a month when every thing dries up. took the wash to Green Spot Rd. and from there did my usual route home. Total ride time was 6hrs 55mins. 68-mile. I did circles in front of my house to make it an even 7-hours.
